Why is Blip.fm SO addicting? Coming from my standpoint, my deep need for approval and my honed music listening abilities for a handful of genres, seems to be at the root of the issue. I want to share my songs w/like minded individuals, and for them to do the same back.

There is instant reward, too. I Blip a song I like or expresses my mood at the moment and BAM! right in my inbox come props, reblips and replies. I feel obligated and enjoy returning the favor by examing each person’s profile and what music they like, thus knowing them more personally. Or I can grab all the names in my email and attach them along with my choice of song.

So it’s the getting a song in my head and blipping it, attaching people who have blipped, propped, became a new listener or replied. At the same time, looking deeper into people’s profile, their twitter and/or facebook, or even their last.fm profiles.

So I’m not quite sure yet the core emotional/intellectual need blipping fulfills, but I know it’s there. I will blip for hours, such as 5 hours straight, given my druthers. I tell my self, “okay, I don’t have time to keep doing this…this is my last blip.” But then I think of a great song that fits the evening and off I go for another hour.

Comments encouraged, though I don’t think tumbler actually allows comments. LAAAMMMEEE!!!

Ever been in a dream, watching a train wreck happen in slow motion? And you are right in the middle of the crash. This car used to be really nice. One day about 6 years ago, the owner simply stopped driving or tending to it, so nature came along and claimed it. Weird, huh? Really stands out in an otherwise almost perfect “hood”.

Here’s a big salad I made. It features baby carrots (buried), green leaf lettuce, scrambled egg, cheese, cottage cheese, little bit of powdered garlic, small amount of crushed red pepper & topped w/ranch dressing.

Can you tell I sometimes make menus for clients?
